Gerhard Berger won the first Japanese GP at Suzuka for Ferrari. Japan's love affair with F1 begins.
Prost Takes Out Senna
At the chicane, Prost turned in on Senna. Both crashed. Prost became champion. The rivalry turned toxic.
Senna's Revenge
Senna deliberately drove into Prost at Turn 1 to win the championship. He later admitted it was premeditated revenge.
